When I say ‘Personal Space” I mean my writing Space that I’m going to try and create for myself – who knows how good it will go, we’ll see.

Its a big job considering that my living room is in chaos since the renovations, as the renovations are not finished. The floor is 99% done, but the paneling hasn’t been checked for mold, so no order has been made for wallpaper, and the new door has not been finished!

Am I good helper with renos? Nope. I feel out of place, I don’t like to touch anything, and I’d rather leave it up to men to do it.

But it seems that some of my things were broken in the process of moving my furniture across the room….

So much of my room has been put back in order, despite the row of boxes near my bedroom, but the floor is clear and the furniture is around the wall where it will pretty much be staying with slight modifications (Such as removing some furniture), so I have a writing space in the works….don’t think it will be ready though…and I do have to say, I do like the warmth and comfort of my bed…I wonder if I can construct something that I can stretch out on and type on…..>.>

In the coming days I’m sure I will find inspiration and will continue fixing things up ^^

Frothing Excitment!

There is a lot of excitment for the upcoming Nano. Only a few more days and the writing begins. I on the other hand am trying to prevent myself from writing ‘now’! It is so very tempting, especially since I plan on NOT doing much work other than write! No outline, no plot, no list of characters.

Just the world I stuck them into – which has LOTS of space to grow – the two MCs and the Villian, and the goal set for them!

I plan on letting my muse guide me. Let the story tell ‘me’ where it wants to go, and not the other way around!

I’m proud of my leet ability to do minor edits and make a sig – using a free site of course to do so, lol.

I plan on working hard…I look forward to working hard! It will give me a goal that I don’t have, it will give me direction, which I don’t have, and it will give me accomplishment, which I don’t have!

I feel old already, sore neck, sore back, lethargic and always tired, but it don’t help that I barely get outside much!

Still keeping my focus on my writing, but if I have any gift to myself, its Robert Jordan’s 12th book written by Brandon Sanderson as Robert Jordan passed away in Sept 2007, and left his gigantic and phenomenal series unfinished!

But then again, I don’t really celebrate my birthday, despite all the well-wishes and such! There will be no cake, no candles, and no presents – just me and my writing and some good reading!

National Novel Writing Month Round 2

Back in 2007, I had participated and won with a great struggle at the end once I found out that I had to work on the last day of Wrimo — you wont beeeelieve the pain of trying to finish sooo many words with only a few hours left and feeling sooo tired!

Last year on their 10th anniversary I had plans of writing, though I had got in late since I had forgotten about Nanowrimo with such a busy life — and for all the love of writing and just ‘needing’ to get these stories out of my head and alive and into the world – I ACTUALLY forgot about Nanwrimo!!

And I tried to write, I tried to come up with a story and I couldn’t, so I sadly pressed on into other things that were not so fun!

And here it is again, the 11th year, and I’ve managed to keep it in my mind, and a story in my mind that wants to be written as well.

Just my luck that my motivation to write has been reinvigorated — probably because the critic in me has not had a chance to breathe down my neck and tell me how aweful of a writer I am and that everything is stale and fake for a very long time. Months actually!

I’ve decided to not let my critic mess me up like it always does, because I’m not going to go in this with the idea of ‘doing my absolute best’ and hoping for something that is ‘maybe’ publishable with some revision – but I hope to do terrible, and let the ‘story come out’ whichever way it chooses, no matter how lame — cuz I have no idea what the story is other than a Fantasy Romance between a beautiful young, exiled Princess, and a Dragon!

And I have all the time in the world to write it!

But my goal is not 50,000 words…..

No it is 200,000 words, and perhaps more! I will write and write and write and write and write and write, and I’ll refrain from revision and revision and revision and DELTE DELETE DELETE DELETE, RIP EYES OUT, BAND HEAD AGAINST SCREEN AND EAT MY PAPER!

If you aren’t doing Naniwrimo, you are missing out of the horrid horros of the fun and exciting time pressing write-a-thons and Nano parties and groups of fun loving, talented people that do it every year!

I say ‘horrors’ because its quite horrifying when you’ve been procrastinating so long that the deadline is tomorrow and you are barely half-way through your work!

So get paper crunching and pen chewing and ankle biting and brain blocking into your writing and have fun!

Clearing the cobwebs

Again, wow, I haven’t been here in ages, and a while back I had every intention of blogging here, and I guess it had slipped my mind.

Well, a lot of things happened. Moving in with my grampa, getting distracted and forgetting about my writing for several months over video games and boyfriends, then my grampa having a fall and cutting open his leg, taking care of a cat with FIV (Feline AIDS) and trying to get her back to health, to renovations in my basement accomodations so that I’m not sick all the time — you wouldn’t BELIEVE the mold in the carpets of my bedroom for the past year. Thank GOODNESS for new flooring!

I even have a new bed, and some time now to reflect on what I’ve been doing, and the nowhere I’ve been heading too.

I think it is time I forget video games and menial things and try to find my talent and look towards a future in writing, or Animal Behavior!

Waking from the Dead

I can never keep track of things, and kinda forgot about this place.

But I must admit I was also put off by the fact that it was rather difficult to view other people’s blogs. I didn’t know how, without searching on the site that I know some of you from and copying the url of your page…is that how it is supposed to work? I’d love it if I could just click your name in the comments on my page and up pop’s your page.

Why such a difficult place? Or am I just a newb?

I live with a bunch of friends, with 2 cats, 2 geckos and some fish to stare at while I’m writing. On my spare time I read or work on my novels, but maybe one day I’ll get back into my art.

I love fantasy books, and I still love the occasional Sci-fi. I highly recommend Robert Jordan’s Wheel of time for a grand epic fantasy that will sweep you off into his world.

I like moonlight walks, and a midnight dip in the pool? =P

Welcome to my Blog
